APPRENTICE HYDRAULIC FITTER/ MACHINIST OR FLUID POWER MECHANIC

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic apprentice to join a hardworking team.

This role will suite someone who is looking to start or complete a trade qualification as a Hydraulic Fitter / Machinist or Fluid Power Mechanic. This opportunity is open to all age brackets including mature age applicants looking for a change in career or looking to make the leap from labourer to tradesman.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be primarily involved with assisting with the repairs and maintenance of plant & equipment ensuring tasks are performed in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner.

Develop skills and knowledge in the following tasks through on-the-job and formal training:
* Procurement of parts
* Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs

The successful candidate will possess:
* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Demonstrated commitment to safety
* High attention to detail
* Good communication skills

* Good English & Maths are an advantage
* Self-motivation

With each day presenting new challenges and a variety of work, this role will suit someone who has a high level of problem solving skills and is able to react quickly to address any issues that may arise.

The successful candidate will need to pass a three month probation period and demonstrate aptitude before commencing the apprenticeship.
